holly sass

my name is holly (they/them) and i am a performing and visual artist and bodyworker based in berlin by way of new york city and california. i’ve been in a practice of dance since as long as i could walk, currently living in the form of practicing/teaching contact improvisation and making/performing work residing at the intersections of dance and clown.

i’m a handpoke tattooer, moved by land, waterways, maps, and finding ways to make the unseen textures of being alive somehow etched onto the skin. my bodywork practice currently consists of massage and craniosacral and is deeply informed by lineages of healing justice.

outside of the arts and bodywork, i am a student of herbalism, gardening, fermentation, piano, and of many other things to come.
